Our beloved Kevin is now an official member of the Offside blogging community! We haven’t yet divvied up the various regular posts, but I’m sure that we’ll be seeing an increase in news and posts in general, plus a few mega posts about whatever comes to mind. With Kevin on board, I feel more comfortable beginning a series of long posts with statistical analysis and more in depth coverage of the Barca B team and maybe a few mentions of how well the basketball team (AXA Barcelona) is doing, despite how bad the official site is at reporting on such games. Check the latest review out here.

You’ll note differing approaches to blogging from the two of us (if you haven’t already), which I hope will be a nice change of pace for everyone. Regardless, welcome once again to Kevin.

It’s been brought to my attention that several posters here have been having a hard time getting around the spam filter. I’ve spoken with the management (aka Martha) and been show a trick or 3 on how to deal with this. The shortlist of posters I’ve noticed having issues are Bobby G, Ciaran, and john, but no doubt there are others. I am not on full spam-filter-is-a-dick alert, so I’ll be checking constantly (let’s be honest: probably obsessively) to make sure your posts come through. So, if you’d like to test out this theory, feel free to post here (preferably something not nonsensical so that I can tell it’s not spam; I suggest something along the lines of, but not exactly, “God, I love Barcelona, but not as much as Isaiah, who is the greatest blogger on earth.” You know, something similar to that. Be creative.

And also, thanks for visiting and posting. The thoughts are generally solid and enjoyable, so keep it up. I’m sorry that it’s come to this, a vigilante action against my own spam filter, but your voices must be heard in a sea of … other Barca voices!
