The House Pep Built [Updated]
By: Isaiah | January 27th, 2009(Thanks to Jason and Kevin — it was actually Jason’s idea, but Kevin continued it in good fashion)
Welcome to Pep’s Construction Company! Here we build quality houses, custom-made by professional builders. We have a full staff of highly-trained workers who can fulfill your every sheltering need. Please take a look at our catalog and let us know what kind of house you’d like.
The Xavi: Spacious, several rooms, solidly built with modern architectural highlights. You’ll always know exactly what is going in every part of the house, even if you’re not home.
The Puyol: One big room with a communal table in the middle that doubles as your bed. True Warriors don’t need mattresses, you know.
The Eto’o: This is the best house ever. Don’t question this. You know it’s true. Stop looking at other houses or you’ll be sorry when your neighbor gets this house and has the best party ever, but doesn’t invite you.
The Messi: Our most expensive model, this house is laid out in an intricate pattern that causes you to wander from room-to-room looking for where you’re going, to the point where you sometimes think you’re going backwards, but you always end up in a gorgeous room. One story. [SOLD OUT]
The Alves: Thishouseneverstopsworkingandthelightbulbsneverburnoutnomatterwhat. Infactthelightsneverturnofftheyjustgoforeverbutsometimesifyoubumpthemthewallsfallover.
The Iniesta: While this model doesn’t have any windows without shades, it is cleverly designed to maximize usage of hallways. It may not look like much from outside, with its peeling paint motif, but once inside you’ll be amazed at how efficient it is.
[NEW]The Busi: It may only look like a tree-house, but it’s the house of the future.
The Yaya: This house is made entirely of bricks. No doors, no windows, just solid brick right up to the roof, which is also brick.
The Guddy: This house is stationary. This may not sound like a positive attribute, but it won’t move, even in an earthquake. It comes in only one color: white.
The Hleb: This is a very ornate house, but thanks to amazing advances in architectural technology, all of its doors are actually back doors.
The Bojan:: Depending on the quality of supplies, the weather, and horoscopes, the quality of the finished product can vary widely between tenement and mansion. Please be aware that there are no refunds on purchases.
The Pique: Awesome loft! Great scenic neighborhood! Off L/G/J/M/Z trains! UNBEATABLE Price. Comes with a complimentary picture of Andy Warhol, an expensive scarf that looks cheap, and a turntable. Where have I heard all that before?
The Valdes: Strongly built, nothing fancy. It has all the amenities you could want, but they’re not top of the line. During rainstorms, there are occasional leaks.
[Update]
The Henry: Once in a wonderful neighborhood, this picturesque condo is now located on the outskirts of town, but is none the worse for the wear. It’s the perfect fixer-upper!
/[Update]
The Guardiola: This is not the best house on the market. Make sure you check out other houses before you come for a visit here, since there’s really not that much going on here. There is a built-in alarm by the bed goes off at 6am, no matter what day of the week it is and the lights turn off at 10pm sharp. There is no hot water, but your boss will give you a promotion and a raise.
That’s all I’ve got at the moment. Let’s hear what you’ve got for the others (or additions to these).

The Javier Saviola. Very fast mobile home, although not very efficient, so not used very often. More of a collectible that for shelter, and can be moved to your neighborhood provided you are the highest bidder

appearantly, a betting company is already paying those who said Barca will win the league.
goal.com says they are doing this because;
1) Its pretty much clear to everyone that We won the League.
2)They are doing this so that they can stop taking bets in favor of Barca.Posted from

*about previous post, im sure their accountant calculated that it would be worth the risk to pay off the barca bets now, then to have to pay ALOT of people the very little returns given for any new bets on Barca

“In addition, it is believed Messi will be looking to test himself in another top-European league, and thus a future move to Inter could become a possibility.”
surprise, surprise, no quote or source for above statement! who exactly “believes” this???
“Also, the player has always spoken highly of Inter…”
WHen??? ive never heard him speak about inter, except when messi said: “I will not go to Chelsea, or Inter or Madrid. I do not understand what is being said. Why do I have to clarify something that is not true?”
I think i will stop putting up any links to goal.com articles. I criticize them alot, but then again, im the one that is reading them. But skysports is so damn Prem-centric!

BTW Dr. Frankestein works, since in not the biggest fan of using my real name on the internet… and i have lead a boring enough life, to have not gotten any nicknames(well i guess i have, but nothing i want to keep going around
). If no minds, im going to stop posting as “Jason” DR.FRKSTN will due until i find something better.Initerestingly enough, as much as i critisize Hleb, i used to play exactly like him in highschool. I could keep possesion like no one’s business, but wouldnt really get anywhere, so much so that “El show de Jason” was said alot. my redeeming quality was that i could cross a ball with better accuracy than David Beckham and Danny Alves put together.

ok, just like Isaiah, my ego enjoys vanity too much, and if i stop going by “Jason” i lose credit for starting such an inane conversation, and Partial stake in the Cule Dictionary

Like the Puyol house, one table lets the Captain eat, drink, and sleep destruction.
A couple of Barca flavored links from the Inter-tubes:
Sid Lowe says Dani Alves is the second best player in the world. Read that sentence again.

Xavi is profiled in The Run of Play’s excellent “Inner Life of…” series, with a song as exquisite as his clockwork passing.

Isaiah, I and my giggling vote for The Keita. You’re on these days, Jason. This is very funny stuff.
That Sid Lowe column is genius. I love the way that he writes.

Although the whole dani alves article is great, and describes him well, i think this sentence sums him up: “A footballing Sonic the Hedgehog.”

Maybe you should add that the carpets in the Iniesta Room are shedding.

Maybe it should have been that the roofing is peeling.

OH. Typo though, you wrote there “pealing.” Thought it was some exotic motiff. Had a feeling it was related to that.

(Even thoughhe’s no longer at Barça)
Frank Rijkaard: the lights are on but the house is empty.

Joan Laporta: just like Barça is more més que un club, this house thinks that it’s més que una casa

[The Cronaldo] This is the most expensive model currently available in the city Manchester. Actually, it is the First, Second, and Third best houses in the world. It has a wonderfull facade. The roof is black, slick, and wet for some reason. It is a really beatiful house indeed. However, go inside and all you will find is a toilet, a diaper, and a septic tank. What a coincidence; everything inside is full of shit.
[The Marquez] Very strong and Stable architectural feat showing great technique. Begining to show some wear and tare due to age, but the building itself seems to be doing great, very sturdy and dependable.
[The Ronaldinho] This mansion was once the the envy of the world, and the best peice of real estate, but too many soires and raves have depreciated the property. THis model, however has grown in popularity in the city of Milan, and has been used more and more there.

The Milito: In previous years this house was considered very sturdy dependable and located in a great neighborhood. However recently, the front door has been jammed shut.
The Ray Hudson: This house has it all, vaulted ceilings, his and her bathrooms, guestrooms, multiple swimming pools, servant quarters, a room for philosophy, reading, jogging, watching tv. It has been proven statistically that this house has a room designed for any situation that comes to mind..the very instant it comes to mind. Infact the only drawback to this house is that it so flabbergasts those who live in it with awesomeness, that they wonder if they are even living in a house at all.

The Oleguer:

there’s a report, via Pep’s place, in the German papers of Txiki meeting with Bayern over Ribery and Lahm. it so happens that both would seem to be excellent transfers (over the summer, mind), if we could keep prices reasonable. Ribery is a phenomenal athlete and is well adapted to the left wing, and Lahm is a two-footed player that can play either right or left back equally well. the only issue i see is with Lahm possibly not getting enough minutes, but with Pep’s rotation policy i think there’s plenty of room for playing time.
thoughts?
