Is anybody else struck by the utter complete, universal irony of a Liverpool-Chelsea series ending with 12 goals scores while a Barca-Bayern game ends in a relatively bland 1-1 draw?

    The world is crazy!

Now we just have to beat Chelsea, all the English teams do not seem to be that strong in defense lately!

And I don’t want to see another Chelsea vs ManUtd final…

As soon as they post it I’ll put a link here to the thread. They will likely have direct downloads, too, but of lower quality.

You do have to register, though, so you can get that out of the way now if you’d like.

Pique -4.5: All over the place at the back. Played Ribery onside for the goal, positionally suspect, and should have conceded a penalty for dragging down Toni.

    Goal.com ladies and gentlement, Goal.com…..

    Lets give’em a hand.

Goal.com is basically the fast-food of the journalism world.

How long has it been since the game ended? Take your time for christ’s sake.

Hopefully a photo pops up of this but supposedly (according to Sport so take it for what its worth) Ribery exchanged shirts with his fellow Frenchman Abidal and instead of carrying it back in his hand as usually happens, he put it on and walked back to the locker room with a Barca shirt on. A sign?

:0 he looks great in a Barca shirt.

Plus, Henry is talking to the guy about how great the club and fans are, and van Bommel is putting in a good word for us, too. Not to mention that Abidal is likely yet another player who is talking to Ribery about the club.

Come on in, Ribery, Barca is ready for you. :)

About the “Pique playing Ribery onside”: Abidal and Pique were level on the play, so that’s bull. Abidal played him on just as much.

The one thing that scares me a lot about Chelsea is the way they scored their second goal: Cech boots to Drogba, who dives outside the 18. Then they put away the free kick. Having 70% of possession can’t defend against that.

Chelsea isn’t that free-kick efficient. And Alex is a rather mediocre center-half.

What’s up with all the pique bashing by goal.com’s writers?

    http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2009/04/14/1209261/cl-comment-ribery-can-be-worlds-best-if-he-leaves-bayern

I think he must be a closet ManU fan and is pissed that thy let Pique get away, because I, like everyone else, saw brilliance from that tall bastard!!! He was key in stopping Luca and stopped many Bayern counters singlehandedly!!!!

    Goal.com is a joke.

Pique so hooked up with Carlo Garganese’s girlfriend. I see no other explanation.

Yeah that’s one of the weirdest “side-notes” I’ve ever seen.

I wonder what Pique said. Maybe they are jealous of his fashion style? Probably!
