Deco returns to full training!

By: Isaiah | December 5th, 2007

Directly on the heels of Eto’o being given medical clearance, we have a host of returning players. Deco trained with the rest of the squad yesterday, but left training early. Today he remained in training until the very end! Hallelujah we have Deco back! Double rejoice!

Gio Dos Santos is also back to full training and even scored a goal in the mini-game played by the team (he, Xavi, and Eto’o scored in a 3-0 victory for the “bib-less” team).* Thuram and Sylvinho also returned to training and were there for the full session.

Toure had the flu and Gudjohnsen has a stomach issue that has apparently been going around the Barca locker room. Ew. Henry and Oleguer are still injured.

*The team without bibs was made up of Valdés, Puyol, Márquez, Sylvinho, Deco, Xavi, Giovani, Ronaldinho and Eto’o and in the yellow bibs were Jorquera, Zambrotta, Thuram, Abidal, Edmílson, Ezquerro, Messi, Iniesta and Bojan. Is that a fair matchup?

Yay! (And now Frankie has to decide which of Xavi, Iniesta and Deco to play. Oh dear.)

Apparently our next opponents, Depor, have had problems with most of their players getting the flu recently. I really hope our players stay healthy. (Toure will be fit for Sunday, right?)

I’m pretty sure i heard that Toure was fine to play. And yes, that will be a VERY hard decision for Rijkaard. As long as we have all our players for el classico, I’ll be happy.
