You’re right, Isaiah. Needs more Bojan. And penalties. The rules shouldn’t change just because we are awesome.

Great to see Henry get a standing ovation.

Was it Henry or Bojan getting the ovation?
Messi is now playing almost as a Xavi.

Victor Sanchez is coming on now.

I just don’t know what to say about this team. Almeria is a top-6 side, that were just shredded. Every match is “Well, okay, this one was pretty easy, but just wait.” I think it’s time we stopped saying “Wait until a real team comes to town, folks.”

Ah could have been Bojan. This is a great time to get the young’uns on. I’m going to say a goal from Bojan before the game ends.

I have to agree with Hudson here — shiver — about Messi needing to go off.

I know what you mean, Kxevin. Can we play the EE tomorrow?

Looks like Pep is calling it even with Eto’o when he subbed him when Eto’o had 2 goals in one of the earlier games. I think it was Atletico. What drama. Unnecessary tackle by Il Capitan. I don’t get why Eto’o and Messi are there.

This is a snoozefest. Poor Bojan. He’s comes on with all guns blazing but no one is attacking

We better not give up a goal when up a man…

This is seriously like one of those video games moments when you switched up the tactics just to see what would happen and it totally didn’t work at all.

Not if Valdes keeps up his form from the last couple of matches…

Maybe Pep plays too much Fifa.

Can this game become more embarrassing for Guilherme?

Can this game be more frightening for every other team in la liga?

I’ll go with no in both cases.

So much to say…
I dont know what to think about Pep’s job, a 10 in the first half, a 3 in the second. Messi, and Eto’o had NO business on the field in the 46th, much less past the 60th.
I’ll save my typical i love Iniesta rant. What i loved was Xavi’s assist. A smaller man would have taken it himself. One reason why i HATE Inzaghi is his goal in the World Cup. Throughball sets him free, i believe Gilardino was making his run perfectly next to him, about a yard behind. The goalie is gonna come out to attack Pipo. At this situation a pass to Gilardino has a 99% chance of a goal. But instead, being the talentless poacher that he is, cuts to his side, where i believe the goalie gets a hand on the ball, but didnt get possesion, and Inzaghi scores. jack***… I bow down to Xavi whom honestly could have scored that goal EASILY, but put the team, and his teammate’s pichichi aspirations ahead of the fleeting glory of a goal in his name.
I will admit that over the summer i was calling for Abidal to be transfered. And i admit that i brushed aside all of the good performances this seson. But wow, he was great today. Almeria quickly figured out that it would be foolish to spend what little glances at the ball they had trying to attack Abidal’s flank. He was extremely fast, and very physical.
Valdez keeps on being hit-and-miss, but his save cannot be understated. Fantastic, i believe he barely hit it with the tips of his fingers.
And finnally, most people are fine with the 5-0 score line. I am not. We did nothing after the 37th! There was very little effort to try to score. I understand the game was over. But thats why you take off eto’o and messi, and let bojan have henry, who are hungry to score goals and prove themselves tear into the other team. I dont want to call messi’s second half performance lazy, but, he was intelligently being cautious, which put us down a gear. I think we shoulda tore them a new one, and made ANOTHER statement, not that this game wasnt a statement, but a stronger one still.
Anyways. Another 3 points, another lecture taught at the Camp Nou. Im happy. Time to put all focus on Benidorm!
