Real Sociedad 0 – 2 Barcelona – Highlights

By: Isaiah | May 6th, 2007

This video has highlights of the game and a brief interview with Andres Iniesta at the end. Goals by Iniesta and Eto’o (both assists by Ronaldinho).

Rough translation of Iniesta’s words:

“Yes, we did our job, got what we needed to do done, and more over we now control our own destiny. It was very important to win and that’s what we did…[something] played very well. When Ronnie is on [his game], it’s tremendous.”

  • Linda, those are two very interesting questions, but maybe I'm just saying that because I'm not sure. I think I'll put my money on the Espanyol game as the trickiest despite the fact that it's at home. Derby day is, after all, always interesting.

As for the player, I have to agree with you that we need someone who plays that role. I'll think about it, though, and try to come up with a post about it. We'll need cover up front for Eto'o that we really don't have at this point (I'm looking ahead to when Saviola is gone) and without Guddie producing, we'll need to look around the market for someone. I am, of course, looking at this from the position of us keeping all our instrumental players (at this point that's all of them).

Anyway, like you say in your latest post: no fingernails time is here and the typing gets harder and harder as the nails get shorter and shorter.

  • Out of the remaining matches for us the ones I'm most worried about are Atletico away (because we seem to be cursed against them) and Espanyol's visit (because they're actually quite good this season). What about you?

(And I've worked out what we need the most in the squad - a Frank Rijkaard. Or at least his type of defensive midfielder. Thoughts?)
