Campeones, Campeones, ole, ole ole
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, NO TIME FOR LOSERS CUZ WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD !!!
Oh my God, this is absolutely incredible
I just came back from town and it is 6 o’clock in the morning, I won’t sleep tonigth, I’ve been celebrating all night long
I cannot descripe my happpiness in words, it is just such an exceptional day, we have written history, we are the best team of the world, and the best team that I’ve ever seen.
Messi, he scored a header against ManUtd, is that possible at all??? Actually not, but he has made it. I think every player deserves a 10 tonight, but big respect goes out to Sylvinho, it might have been his last game for Barca, he is 35 years of age and he has prevailed against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.
I’ve never been happier than today, this season cannot be topped by anything, we shall cherish this moment forever

Ah, and by the way, also respect to CR7, he applauded our Barca when Puyol lifted the trophy
I didn’t expect such a behaviour from him.Posted from

Helge is right: Sylvinho had an amazing game. I take nothing away from Messi and Xavi and Iniesta and the rest, but it was great to see Sylvinho out their playing with heart as if the future had nothing to do with the present.
What a fabulous game all around. Two top teams playing beautiful football.
I have no idea what I will do tomorrow. No more Barca for a few weeks (at least until I get to see them crush the Galaxy en vivo).

Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta win Euro 2008, Messi wins Olympic gold, and the team wins the treble! It has been a pretty good year I’d say.

Hey, has anyone realized that Barca won the 2008/2009 Champions League?

I’m getting me a Sylvinho jersey ya’hear?
oh and i too did not expect that level of maturity from CR7, good sportmanship
oh yea, did anyone else notice how VICTOR VALDES had ONE HELL OF A GAME.
i know this is wrong and immoral but every negative criticism i have tossed at VV this year is gone after today
he showed the nerves of a keeper that deserves to wear the Blaugrana

Guardiola: 10. He must have seen Busquets and Sylvinho oozing confidence. And knew that Evra was expecting Messi. Made the hard decisions, which were gambles, and came out on top.
Team: 10. Did the best that a bruised and battered squad could. And frankly after 9 minutes we took the game and never gave it back.
Valdes: 9. The times he were called up weren’t often, but they were dangerous, and he was inch-perfect in those instances.
Puyol: 10. He again showed why he is the Captain. He was everywhere. contributed to the Attack, kept the backline steady. And most importantly shut Rooney AND Ronaldo down. So much so that Ronaldo resigned to whining and fouling.
the Yaya: 9. did not look awkward in defense like he did against Chelsea. Partnered Pique well to let nothing through.
Pique: 10. Notice how in the second half all the play was down the wings. ManU quickly learned that Pique was hellbent on destroying anything comming down the middle. Worked hard, and didn’t put a step wrong.
Sylvinho: 8. Could not have asked for more. Active in attack, and did his all to keep the left wing quiet.
Busquets: 8. better than people expected. yes, a few minor mistakes, but nothing that put us in danger. Along with the CBs, help dissuade route 1 attacking. better passing outlet than usual. Didn’t dwell in possession too much.
Xavi: 10. Took command of this game, and pulled the strings like no one else can. As expected: Passes were accurate. Movement was efficient. Possession was meaningful. Did great work tracking back and putting pressure on the Mid. The pass to Messi was fucking insane! must have been laser-guided!
Iniesta: 10. Iniesta was echoing everything Xavi was doing. Did great tracking back helping Busi. He was really the only constant attacking threat throughout the whole game. Great run and pass to set-up Eto’o
Messi: 7. Yup, i didn’t think that he was as effective as he could have been. But he put in a good effort, tiring Vidic and Rio. i had him at about a 6 for the effort, but his stunning goal raised him. He had to jump as high as he could, lean all the way back, and hit it just right to lob it over VDS.
Eto’o: 8. Great work rate, played wherever the team needed him, even doing some defending. absolutely turned Vidic inside-out and finished with little space open.
Henry: 6. It was clear that he wasn’t at 100%. He failed to really get involved in the game, but on the other hand it can be said that the team failed to involve him. Though he couldn’t help too much offensively, he put in a great game helping the midfield apply pressure. Don’t let the 6 rating fool you. I was satisfied with what I’m sure was the best he could do.woot! We are the champions!

Where would we be without VV? He has been amazing in the past 3 CL games.
If the guy asked me for 2x Casillas’ salary, I’d give it to him. I’d give his dog 2x Casillas’ salary if VV asked for it.
