Gnus you all can use, including Brazilians and Frenchmen

Guess who’s coming to dinner at Old Trafford?
Yes, lads and ladettes, it’s already been announced: Thierry Henry will be getting the start at Old Trafford next Tuesday, because of his fine legacy of bedeviling the Red Devils. Woot! No word on the rest of the starting lineup, but I’m already excited.
Our Capitan is also back from suspension, so we should be ready to put the stonk down.
There’s news galore, including a mightily vexed Laporta after his laptop was stolen. The thief was caught on camera, and no word as to whether it’s the same folks who burglarized Rijkaard’s house while he was home. Word is that some super-secret stuff was on there, including his carefully acquired collection of “yo mama” jokes in Catalan.
Bastards!
Mallorca striker Dani Guiza is on our radar these days, probably with an eye toward making us no longer headless in front of goal. Every team would like height on their front line, and we’re no exception. That image of Xavi and Rio Ferdinand looked like a player with one of the ball boys. Very preliminary right now, and the bidding for that lad could get silly. 21 goals in 31 games is nothing to sneeze at.
Elsewhere, Galliani says that at our asking price, Ronaldinho is too expensive and will not be coming to Milan. Yeah. Right. We’ll almost certainly see he and Zambrotta on the same plane to Italy.
In a cute little interview that’s being excerpted all over the place, that same Wascally Bwazilian says that he used to play footie with a neighborhood dog. Cynics would say that explains his laying down on the job, but you people just knock it off.
“For a dog, he was good. He could keep hold of the ball, but he didn’t know the rules because he was a dog. He was the best dog in the area, though. He had a very good right foot.”
Everyone, repeat after me: Awwwww!
Anybody know who Miroslav Pjanic is? I sure don’t, but the Bosnian mid, raising cain over at Metz in Ligue Un, is purportedly another target of ours. We’ve already made an offer, say Bosnian press reports, but word is that the kid (18 years old), like Benzema, might want to stay put and hone his skills for a bit, whilst also raising his price.
Finally, in this staggering bit of news, Manchester United dude Owen Hargreaves says that his side was content with a draw. As if playing 10 men plus a bus behind the ball wasn’t our first clue. I’m reeling with this disclosure.

no, no, no. henry will not start. where did you hear this? and why would barca announce ANY of their starting lineup this far ahead of time? i dont buy it.
like i said in my post on the previous thread: it’s a bad idea. in place of xavi or iniesta, whaaat? just toss our entire shape in the garbage.
more reason to doubt this, is that xavi, eto’o and messi are being rested for the Deportivo match. iniesta and milito will be out through suspension. (this according to FCB).
so we can expect that xavi, eto’o and messi will start. otherwise, why rest them? the only other person that would leave for henry would be Deco. but deco is certainly gonna be played against Depor (prob not 90 mins) to continue gaining match fitness.
i see the starting line up against ManU the same as last week, except marquez replaced by puyol (obvious).
against depor, i foresee and suggest the following lineup. this is all about taking advantage of potential fatigue on the part of ManU as they play Chelsea at the weekend.
valdes, thuram, marquez, oleguer, sylvinho, edmilson, guddy, deco, bojan, gio, henry.
we can still win with this (2nd string) lineup.

Interestingly enough, Dani Guiza has only 2 headed goals this year and 19 by foot. None by penalty or freekick either. Crazy. He may yet be pichichi as he’s only 2 goals behind Luis Fabiano.
I agree with ballbeav’s starting lineup against Depor and that Eto’o will start instead of Henry against ManU.

I wonder if the lack of Guiza headed goals has to do with quality of service, as well. Maybe that’s what we’re thinking. We definitely get great crosses. Perhaps they’re thinking we just need a lanky head to get in the way of them.

Güiza is a madridista and he hates barcelona not only because of that but also because he didn’t get a real chance (in his eyes) when playing for Barcelona B half a year. Plus: he married a former nude model slash starfucker who is now also acting as his agent. Demasiado is too much. Let’s keep some class…

I’d like to see the same lineup against ManU too, to hold possession and take the crowd out of the match. Puyol will be back to D up Rooney (who I bet is more central at Old Trafford), and the Zambrotta/Toure duo lock down Crissy. If the team needs a boost, then Bring Henry in for Eto’o. I’d like Barca’s chances, ManU can’t hold that lineup off the scoreboard for 180 minutes.

Damn, Pep! In the house! Sounds like it is just a rumor, and not a very good one. The girlfriend/agent designator did make me smile.
Good thoughts, Colin. Man U is going to have to come out and play. I think that will be good for both teams, fans of the beautiful game and ultimately, good for us. Put it like this…if they don’t have 14 men in the box and Messi undresses Evra the way he did on Wednesday, he’s one-on-one against Van der Sar.

I can’t believe I am missing this game.

I played against a dog this year, 2 humans vs dog. Dog’s goal: the shade under a large trailer. Dog kicked our butts. Great aerial game, protected the ball…and talk about match fitness! And no joke: as my ass was being kicked I thought , “I really need some dinho moves to beat this chump”…it all makes sense now.

Ha! More rumours and nonsense that we will wait to see about, but AS says that Lahm is all but done in Munich and has reached a deal with us. But we’ve seen THAT news before with the likes of Garay, Dani Alves, etc.
In an interview, Lahm has said he is done at Bayern and will play abroad, and his current employers have withdrawn their offer of a contract extension. Hmmmm.
Or it might just be more pre-silly-season nonsense.
Can’t wait for the shoes to start dropping….
