I was wondering about that “nose” gesture, as well. There have been some pretty funky goal fetes this season, from the Valdes tribute in which Henry pulled his shorts up to his breastbone, to Messi’s nose pull.

Wednesday has me really worried. To lose to the EE twice in the same season. But the roster is worrisome indeed. We are without: Milito, Toure, Iniesta, Deco and Eto’o. Thuram can come in for Milito, and Krkic for Eto’o. But we have no replacements for Toure, Iniesta and Deco.

I don’t like this one bit.

Yup Milito fudged up his knee ligaments.

I noticed that Messi nose action too. I thought he might be dedicating the goal to someone with a big schnoz, because he pointed after the gesture. I dont know who it would be.

after messi scored. He make a gesture. He held his hand on his nose and moved it away and to his nose, as if to potray pinocchio. Any idea what he meant? was he trying to say that the reports in the papers about his mega move are all lies??

A bigger problem, JC, is no Iniesta, who wants to sit the rest of the year to be ready for Euro 2008. So we have to trot Gudjohnsen’s half-dead ass out there in place of Deco, unless there’s some other mid out there I don’t know about.

We have strikers, so Eto’o I can live with. Deco hurts more because of the absence of Iniesta.
