Flu season!

By: Isaiah | December 7th, 2007

Deco, who just returned from injury (and incidentally was officially given the medical all clear today), is sick with the flu and is a “serious doubt” for this weekend’s game against Depor. Toure is also being laid low by the same virus and may not be able to make the game either. Ah crap.

So who does that leave in the middle? My expectation is that we’ll play with Gudjohnsen in the middle along with Xavi and Iniesta in a 4-3-3. Ronaldinho, Eto’o, and Messi will be up front, of course. Sport is betting that Marquez will start (English) in the middle instead of Toure, but I find that pretty unlikely given the recent starting choices Rijkaard has made.

I’ll try to get out a good preview later today or early tomorrow, but for now, let’s hear it for the return of Eto’o! Woohoo!

i am so excited about eto’o. hope he scores on his comeback. hope ronnie does aswell just to shut people up (for about three hours.) still hopefull about yaya. let’s be fair- he’s MUCH better than marquez, gudjohnson, iniesta or xavi in DM.

I’m still not sure Eto’o will start, but hopefully we’ll see REM at some point during the game.

Good to hear about Ronnie training hard in the last week. Hopefully that will show in his performance.
