Happy Birthday, Bojan!

By: Isaiah | August 28th, 2008

The little one is now 18 and he’s a full grown man. In my country, that means he can legally vote, buy cigarettes, go to war, and also go to “Federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison”. But he can’t drink. Maybe he should be sent across the pond for the summers so he doesn’t get into trouble. And while he’s here he can play for NY Red Bulls so that I can go see him. Yeah…

So the little tyke is 18 and he’s considered by many as the future of the club. Whether he is or not depends a lot on him, but he looks to be dedicated and he looks to be a true professional. Combined with the other young players in the squad (Iniesta (24), Messi (21), Caceres (21), Pique (21), Henrique (21), and Dani Alves (25)) he has the potential to start another glorious run of form that extends multiple season and incorporates both skill and continuity.

Best of luck to you, Bojan, and happy 18th birthday. Don’t party too hard, we’ve got Numancia on Sunday!

I read that Xavi celebrated his tenth anniversary in the senior squad about two weeks ago. I hope ten years from now I read the same about Bojan, and think back on how he’s been a rock in blaugrana for a decade.

    Happy 18, cheers!
