It’s News to Me (recent/not so recent exits) and a caveman

By: Iggy | August 26th, 2009

We have a new Caveman (that’s his name now, because I don’t know about you but I’ll never be able to spell his name without looking it up every time).

I have no idea how good/bad this guy actually is because I didn’t really pay attention to him when we played Shakhtar last season for our Champions League spot. But if LordPep wants him bad enough to pay 25 million I’m gonna have high hopes for the man. As in someone who can start without anybody noticing that he’s replaced Puyol/Pique/Marquez.

In other news our beloved Professional (Sylvinho) has completed his transfer to Man. City. As a player who always put his best foot forward (pun absolutely intended) and gave everything he had for the club he should expect nothing but support from all of us in the barça family and that’s exactly what he’ll get. God bless you

Another playing leaving our squad is Jorquera…remember him? He was our goalie in the Copa del Rey a few years ago? No? That’s okay I don’t really remember him either. But he’s moved onto greener, or rather redder/whiter pastures at Girona after having his contract rescinded (a nice gesture from our higher ups in recognition of his dedication to the colors during his time spent here). May you find minutes.

And in superawesomesexytime news Ghostface Iniesta is scheduled to have the doctors OK by tomorrow! Although he probably won’t play the European Supercup and might even rest for the first game of La Liga our team will be much much much better with him back.

Hasta la Victoria! Barça!!

Champions League draw should be interesting. We have had easy groups the past couple years so hopefully we get more of the same

Who said we’ve signed him? Nothing is official yet, plus it seems that he has traveled with Shakhtar’s squad according to Sport. Now, I don’t know whether he traveled but won’t play and instead will meet Laporta and Txiki to work on the deal there, but that’s the word according to sport.

Is Chygnasty Barca now or what? Everyone says it but I can’t imagine their source except rumors.

Chygrynskyy is officially Barca, Shaktar’s coach just made it official. He will play against us tomorrow and will then be presented on Saturday. It’s not just that he’s young, fast, powerful and has the Barcelona vision, but he can fill in the defensive mid’s role with ease. Guardiola needs a versatile powerhouse while Keita and Yaya are away at the by now infamous AC, and Chygrynskyy fits that bill. El Mister, he knows footballers. Chygrynskyy will make history at Barcelona, and it all begins on Monday.

As for Jorquera, a little more respect is warranted to a player that gave 8 years to the club.

    Visca.
