Ronnie in, Marquez out against Villareal

By: Isaiah | April 21st, 2007

The lineup for Barcelona is out for the Villareal match:

Keepers: Valdés and Jorquera
Defenders: Zambrotta, Oleguer, Puyol, Thuram, Gio, and Sylvinho
Midfielders: Xavi, Iniesta, and Deco
Forwards: Giuly, Messi, Eto’o, Gudjohnsen, Saviola, Ronaldinho, and Ezquerro

There is something to note, though, before we get on with the Madrid-Valencia clash.

Saviola doesn’t know exactly what to do with himself as it’s become clearer and clearer that he is not a part of Barcelona’s plans. The club has yet to offer him a new contract, despite his solid play throughout the year, so Saviola is considering offers from other clubs, according to ESPN’s Soccernet. That’s fair, from his point of view, and I’m very sad that Barcelona doesn’t want such a talented player as El Conejo.

Apparently I should never hypothesize about the scores or why we’re going to win. 2-0? Who are we, Nastic? You miss chances, you get beat. That’s the way it goes.
