slow news day

By: Iggy | September 8th, 2009

It’s been a slow news day (footywise) so I would like to take advantage of this brief rest to turn to a lockerroom issue that might need observation. As we all know, last season LordPep would rally the troops behind Coldplay’s Viva La Vida. We have already seen him trade Eto’o for Ibracadabra as an on the field change, will he make an off the field change? Will he make the effort to find another inspirational power ballad to replace Viva La Vida? (I know it’s not a power ballad I just felt like calling it that).

Will Coldplay be replaced by another big name? U2 comes to mind. Maybe we’ll find we’re listening to something a little more underground, who knows maybe Viva La Vida will continue to blare through the Camp Nou speakers.

What do you want to hear?

U2 does come to mind. I’d do “Magnificent” off their new record.

Yah, I was also checking for new articles. But it’s always hard to start from scratch, especially if the former site was so popular.

That seems to be the problem with theoffside.com. It seems like they hand out blogs to anyone that can put together a sentence and generate 1 post per year. This page used to have thousands of hits now its dead.

Cut Iggy some slack, guys. It’s hard maintaining a blog. It took me quite a while to get into the swing of things, and the same was true for Isaiah. We recruited help over at the new joint, precisely because it was so difficult.

Iggy’s putting it out there, and deserves respect for that. I’m sure he’ll pick up a regular posting rhythm once he gets back into the routine. He might be on vacation, might be jamming it up for some exams. But he’ll be back.

And oh, yeah….my vote is for “Emerging From Her Weepings,” by Naglfar. Tell me Puyol isn’t a metal dude.
