Goodbye Gio

By: Isaiah | June 27th, 2007

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been released by Barcelona to return to his former club, Feyenoord, who he played for in the mid 90s. He started 20 matches in La Liga this year for Barcelona and, according to Wikipedia, made 141 appearances overall for the club. It’s been good having you, Gio, and may you do well in Holland.

He’s been good for us, and as you guys were saying in an earlier post, it’s weird not having a Dutch player in the squad now. Ah well, now we have to keep Sylvinho and sign another LB.

Am happy with d recent signing of milito and Abidal. We still need an aggresive midfielder and a keeper.
