The Great List of Barcelona Pubs
By: Isaiah | March 25th, 2008In order to prevent traveling barcelonistas from having to miss a game or two while on the road, I thought it a good idea to go ahead and list, as well as possible, all the great places to watch FCB throughout the world. This will not be a comprehensive list by any means, but will instead be a list of places suggested by myself and the readers who have graciously written me with their suggestions. You can email me your suggestions at barcelona [at] theoffside [dot] com.
You can check out the list here. Unfortunately there will not be a permanent link anywhere on this site (due to technical issues), but I will attempt to put the link at the bottom of every preview so that it will be easier to reach, but you can always click on the Where to Watch category link on the sidebar and it should bring you to this particular page.
Please send in your suggestions, no matter what country or city you’re in. There are FCB fans everywhere and not everyone knows about the various places to watch, even in their own cities. I realize that some of you have already posted comments with various cities included, but if you could do us all a favor and email me those again, I’ll get those up pronto. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I appreciate the second effort.
This is what the link will look like on the bottom of posts: Where to Watch: The best places to watch FC Barcelona in action

I went to a clásico at the George and Dragon last year and it was fantastic. Despite it being mostly an English (and entirely English-themed) place, it does tend to fill with fans of other leagues and countries for big games- it was absolutely packed, great atmosphere, and a lot of fun.

Real fechó pepe por 30 milliones e fcporto tien un mejor…Bruno alves…para que huted puedan ver como fcporto é campeon en portugal ecomo es possible los colegiados fermar los ojos a animalidades destas:

attempt at translating for antitripa, and not sure why he has posted this here: (i guess it has to do with the discussion on the other thread about possible defensemen for next year…)
“Real signed Pepe for 30 million and Porto has a better player — Bruno Alves. So you can see how Porto is champion in portugal and how it is possible (???) check out the animal-like acts shown here: (link)
With plays like this he only has one yellow card in the liga. possible?”

Best place to watch Barca in Montana…that’s like looking for a redneck bar near Camp Nou. “Barca? Who’s Barca? Does he drive for Nascar?” Or better yet…”Is UNICEF some kind of sports team or something?” Yes, I wear the jersey with pride, but no one has a clue what it is. Will someone please tell me why the hell I chose to live in the middle of god-forsaken nowhere? These places sound amazing, especially Nevada Smiths! Why can’t it be in Nevada like the name says, at least then it would be closer. I live in a town with no stoplights, more bars than police cars, and not another Barca fan for 60 miles in any direction! That’s it! I’m buying a ticket to NYC! Maybe for the game this summer…
Hey, and what’s up with these other women? For three months not another post from my gender, I’m gone for less than a week and suddenly the offside has a spike in the female persuasion. I’ll have to say I’m a little jealous, but very happy to hear from them! The important question is this, does the Toure “woman-crush” exist within them? If the answer is yes, WELCOME!Posted from

ballbeav, nice translation. I would translate “ecomo es possible los colegiados fermar los ojos…” as “how is it possible that the refs shut their eyes to the animal-like (bestial?) acts like these: [link].
Certainly if that’s true about the yellow cards and the video is good overview of his career, Bruno is a rather, um, rough-around-the-edges player and I certainly don’t want him anywhere near the Camp Nou (as either an FCB player or an opponent…)

i mentioned this in another column, but in indy there’s a nice tapas bar called ‘barcelona tapas’ (i think) with all sorts of barca memorabilia on the walls and tvs…i haven’t actually watched a game there, but i’m sure it’s a great place to watch one as the owner is a catalan himself

llobster, the post says to contact me via email! Your submission is therefore automatically invalid! Actually, I’ve contacted the bar directly to ask them if they show Barca games. Hopefully they get back to me soon and they answer “Yes, we show every Barcelona game. Even the Gamper match.” But we’ll see. Thanks for the suggestion (I knew someone had said something about Indianapolis, but I couldn’t remember who or where)
